Due to large diameter the tissue parent roll cores are expensive and are usually re-used few times after converting. However the core ends often get damaged rendering the whole core unusable. If the mill has converting lines with different widths, an easy way to re-use a core with damaged ends is to clean cut the damaged ends and down cut it to the next shorter length.
Core Link has designed a unique core cutting system for automatic down cutting of used tissue parent roll cores - the first delivery will be to a confidential tissue mill in USA.
- Automatic feeding of used 16" diameter cores from core bin - no manual handling of heavy cores
- Fully-automatic core cutter for clean cutting the ends and down cutting to size
- Automatic loading of cut cores to core bin
- Dust extraction unit
- Waste piece handling system
System delivery is scheduled in the fall of 2012.
