Core Link to supply a core– and broke roll handling system to Kotkamills OY in Finland

As a part of big conversion project at Kotkamills to convert its existing printing paper machine to produce high-quality folding boxboard and barrier coated board grade, Core Link will deliver a new automatic core handling- and broke roll system.

Core Links delivery includes:

• A core handling system that will feed both the laminating paper machine (PM 1) and the new board machine(BM2) with cores.

The system will be the first in Finland that receive loose loaded cores in the lorry without wrapping according to Core Link developed concept with core lifting device that loads the cores at the core plant and unload it at the paper mill.

Capacity of the core storage is designed to manage long weekends without refilling.

• A broke roll handling system consisting of:
-a roll cutter for broke rolls
-a semi-automatic de-wiring system recycled board bales
-a buffer conveyor that feeds the batch pulper

The new system is scheduled to startup second quarter 2016.
