As a part of Valmet’s new winding technology package to Stora Enso BM 5 in Tainionkoski, Finland Core Link will supply a new fully automatic core– and broke roll handling system. The rebuilt finishing section is scheduled to start up during the last quarter of 2015.

• The fully automatic core handling system includes:
• Robot core-storage
• Core cutter
• Plugging
• Transport system to the new winder

The broke roll system includes a wrap-slicer and broke roll cutter with automatic roll pick up and core collection that feeds broke to a rebuild pulper in a new location that suite the fully automatic broke process. Core Link package fits well with the target of the project to increase winding capacity, improved safety and enhance the efficiency of the maintenance operations.
